Stop Wasting Time… and Get Motivated!
Last week, I spoke with a SOAR client, Kevin McCarville, who shared some excellent videos. As I write this, we are posting links to all of his recommendations in our Multi-Media Teacher’s Guide.
In the meantime, I had to share one of them with you and your students, NOW!
I dare you to watch this video and not be inspired, yourself! 🙂 “Stop Wasting Time” is excellent for students, adults… all ages!
I have to admit, I needed this shot in the arm. I’ve been struggling for the three years with burnout and severe fatigue. I’ve worked very hard to take better care of myself and lean into my faith stronger than I ever understood was possible. I’m slowly feeling better and stronger. But, admittedly, my motivation has been, as my kids would say, “Meh.”
But, the season is ripe for “turning a new leaf” and I personally got a lot of mojo out of this video. I also played it for my kids on the way to their first day of school. They were rapt with attention! (Ages 13 and 8.)
So, whatever you’re doing today, I encourage you to take a 10-min break –for yourself and for your students– to watch and share this video. It will encourage you to think about making every moment count… and to stop wasting time!
Special thanks to Kevin McCarville, owner of EduCare Learning Center, who is very passionate and knowledgeable about study skills. He’s celebrating his 25th year serving the students, families, and schools of Cedar Rapids, IA!
Enjoy the video!
To our students’ success,
Susan Kruger, M.Ed.
