Brain First Learning for an AI World
Multi-year Implementation
Multi-year implementation that grows with your goals
For schools with a bigger vision, SOAR grows into a customizable multi-year pathway — executive function, study skills, social-emotional learning, and career-ready skills that deepen year over year.
Room to build something lasting
Most schools bring SOAR in to meet one clear need. Others want something more ambitious — a unique program that empowers students with the skills they carry for life.
If that’s the goal, SOAR® is built to grow with you. The same curriculum classroom-tested in 5,100+ schools across 53 countries extends into a customizable multi-year pathway, shaped around your objectives rather than a fixed track.
You decide how far it goes. This page is about the options when you want to build beyond a single program.
What a multi-year pathway can look like
Here is one example — and it is only one. Every plan is tailored to your school or district’s goals and schedule, with a SOAR curriculum consultant helping you shape it — so read this as a template, not a track.
MULTI-YEAR OPTIONS
A pathway you can shape across two to four years
One configuration of many — each stage builds on the skills before it.
Learning & Soft Skills (or an ELA credit)
Students build the foundation with SOAR Learning & Soft Skills — the core skills that power everything after:
- Organization and planning
- Focus and attention
- Time management
- Directing their own learning
With the literature module, this same course can count as an ELA credit rather than sit on top of one.
Year 2
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Students turn those skills inward with SOAR SEL, strengthening the confidence layer the rest of learning sits on:
- Self-awareness
- Emotional regulation
- Teamwork
- Decision-making
Years 3 and/or 4
SOAR Higher!
Students extend into advanced modules that put the skills to work on something that matters to them:
- Deeper organization
- Real-world communication
- Expanded ELA integration
- “Genius Hour”
- Capstone projects
That’s one path of many. Some schools run all four years; some pair two; some thread a single strand through a course they already teach. Every multi-year option is customized to meet your specific objectives.
Tailored to your objectives, not a fixed track
No two multi-year plans look the same, and that’s the point. Our curriculum consultants shape the sequence around the goals you already carry — and around the schedule you actually run. That might mean building the pathway around:
- A graduation requirement
- An advisory period
- An intervention block
- A career-readiness push
For schools that want standards-based accountability across grades 6–12+, SOAR’s Learning-by-Matrix turns the pathway into a transcript-ready framework. Each matrix lists the standards you’re accountable for in student-friendly language, with three mastery tiers, and lets students choose how to demonstrate mastery — collected into a portfolio that travels with them.
It works the same way in a classroom, a homeschool, or a co-op: customization with structure, scaled to the size of the program you’re building.
In an AI world, the years compound
A multi-year build isn’t more content stacked higher — it’s the same brain-first skills going deeper each year. Executive function, comprehension, and self-direction don’t finish in a semester. They strengthen with use, the way any circuit does.
And that matters more now, not less. As AI takes over recall and first drafts, the durable advantage belongs to the student who knows how to direct their own thinking — and that is built over years, not weeks.
Position your students ahead of that shift, and a multi-year pathway stops reading like extra curriculum. It starts reading like the plan.
