Calling All Teachers of Excellence

Are You a “Leader” Teacher?

  • Do you work tirelessly to try new things for your students?
  • Are you the go-to person administration calls on when they want something done?
  • Do you find yourself becoming impatient with some of your co-workers who don’t have the same drive or vision (or both) as you do?

Or, maybe you are just getting started in the profession and *want* to be a “leader” teacher; did you have any kind of gut reaction when you read that statement? If so, then you are already a leader teacher, too. (Your colleagues just need a little more time to get to know you and recognize your leadership qualities, but they are there.)

Why Do I Ask?

Teaching is a deceivingly lonely profession. It’s deceiving because you spend most of your days surrounded by lots of people and commotion, but it’s lonely because you rarely have time to communicate and collaborate with your peers.

It’s even lonelier for the Leader Teachers. Or, as I like to say, the “Teachers of Excellence.” You have a unique drive to serve your students and push them to the highest levels of success. You probably even get criticized by your co-workers for this ambition. This criticism, of course, is only masking their insecurities.

Nonetheless, it’s lonely at the top.

I assumed you’re a leader teacher because you’ve been reading my emails for such a long time. (That says a lot about your dedication!) So, I just wanted to extend a hand to say you have some company. You deserve acknowledgment for your devotion (you do one of the most thankless jobs in the world) and a nod of appreciation for your exceptional level of commitment.

Eventually, I would like to create an on-line community for Teachers of Excellence. If you would like to be a part of this special group, please let me know by sharing your name and email at this page. I’ll notify you as soon as we get things set up. Meanwhile, I’ll send special articles written to address your unique challenges…and gifts! Let me know if you’d like to get this information by filling out the form below.

Thank you!
