This video discusses the skills that children in schools today will need to compete in the global marketplace in the future. Many of the jobs people will do in the future don’t exist today, so we can’t teach them. The skills we should teach, and the skills most in demand, are “soft” skills, or study skills.

We discuss several studies showing the importance of soft skills. The value of study skills for middle school and high school students also becomes clear. They even offer serious benefits as part of a college curriculum.
