SOAR Reading Studio
Precision over practice — reading progress built on how the brain actually reads
If "read more, try harder" hasn't worked, it's not because your child or teen isn't capable. It's because the method doesn't match how the brain is wired to read.
Most reading remediation is spaghetti at the wall — throw every strategy at the student and hope something sticks. Reading Studio does the opposite. Precision over practice. Adaptive, brain-based software calibrated to your child or teen's specific reading profile, plus live, drop-in coaching with real people. Not a program your student does alone — every minute of practice targets what actually needs to change, with support when they want it.
A full year of reading growth in three months. About ten minutes a day.
That's what happens when practice is precise.
And reading is the single capacity AI can't replace.
It can summarize.
It can paraphrase.
It can generate faster than any human.
But it can't read deeply.
It can't think independently.
It doesn't deal with the consequences of its own decisions.
Reading Studio builds the mind that can do what AI can't.
Who Reading Studio is for
Reading Studio is for students (grades 3+) when reading is the primary academic concern — whether they're behind, stuck, losing confidence, or capable students who struggle with focus and consistency in traditional settings.
It works especially well for students whose brains process, focus, or regulate differently — including neurodivergent learners — because it adapts to the student rather than demanding the student adapt to it.
What Reading Studio is NOT
Reading Studio is biology-aligned reading training, not tutoring. It isn't a stack of hours, and it isn't more homework in disguise.
If you're looking for ongoing broader parent support, SOAR Circle is the better starting point. If your child or teen's learning profile feels complex or hard to interpret, GPS Consulting is the better starting point.
Reading Studio is a targeted reading intervention — built on neuroscience, run through adaptive software, reinforced by optional live coaching. It does one thing and does it fast.
How Reading Studio works
At the core of Reading Studio is adaptive, brain-based reading software calibrated to each student's specific reading profile.
The software provides frequent, immediate feedback — so students see progress in real time, working to beat their own previous scores. It's the same natural motivation loop that makes video games compelling: not external rewards, not external pressure — visible, self-directed improvement.
Every Reading Studio tier includes:
- Brain-based reading software designed for short, focused sessions
- Clear progress data and monthly reports
- A structured environment that builds confidence and momentum
- Full SOAR Circle access for parent support, tools, and community
Daily sessions average ten minutes. The program accommodates uneven weeks.
(If you watched the Masterclass, this is the same tool + support strategies Susan used with her own son.)
Choose your level of support
All three tiers use the same precision software. What changes is who carries the monitoring — and how much decision-making you want off your plate.
Same software across all three tiers. The tier difference is how much live coach time is built in.
Who monitors progress:
The parent
Includes:
- Full reading software access
- Monthly progress reports
- SOAR Circle access
Doesn't include: live sessions, coach oversight, proactive adjustments
Who monitors progress:
Coach during live sessions + parent between
Includes everything in Independent, plus:
- Live drop-in Studio sessions
- In-session coaching
Doesn't include: coach oversight between sessions
Who monitors progress:
Assigned coach — across time
Includes everything in Guided, plus:
- Assigned coach tracking patterns

Live session attendance not required for oversight — but expedites progress.
Tier details
Tier 1: Studio Independent
Full access to the Reading Studio software, monthly progress reports, and clear data to inform your decisions. You monitor progress; the software drives the work.
What you get: Software · Monthly reports · SOAR Circle access
What you don't get: Live sessions · Coach oversight · Proactive adjustments
Best for: "We want strong tools and data — and we're confident monitoring progress ourselves."
Tier 2: Studio Guided
Everything in Independent, plus drop-in access to live Studio sessions (see calendar). The sessions function like body-doubling: a predictable time to show up, a supportive coach, in-the-moment guidance.
The coach checks progress during sessions. You monitor between sessions.
What you get: Everything in Independent + live drop-in sessions + in-session coaching
What you don't get: Coach oversight between sessions
Best for: "We want help showing up and staying engaged — without this turning into a daily struggle."
Tier 3: Studio Priority
An assigned coach monitors patterns across sessions and guides adjustments so patterns and optimizations become clear sooner. You carry less interpretation, fewer decisions, and less of the "is this working?" question.
What you get: Everything in Guided + assigned coach tracking progress over time + earlier targeted adjustments
Live session attendance is not required for coach oversight — but it expedites progress.
Best for: "We want progress to feel lighter — and to get to what works sooner."
FAQ
What if my child/teen resists?
Most students don't — because the software is built around frequent, immediate feedback that creates its own motivation. Students compete against their own previous scores, not external standards. It's the same loop that makes video games compelling: visible, self-directed progress. Resistance usually drops as soon as a student sees their own growth.
What if we miss days?
Ten minutes a day is the average, not a requirement. The software and drop-in session structure make the most of every point of engagement, even when routines are uneven.
How do we pick the right tier?
Tiers differ by who carries the monitoring — not by how serious the situation is. Pick based on the bandwidth and confidence you have for tracking progress right now. Families often move between tiers as needs change.
Why a 3-month minimum?
Reading progress is measured across weeks, not days. Three months gives us enough time for patterns to emerge, for practice to become routine, and for the adaptive software to calibrate. If the fit isn't right within 30 days, our guarantee applies — otherwise the 3-month window is what makes the method work.
Does my child/teen have to attend live sessions?
No. Coaches can monitor progress effectively as long as students engage with the software. Live sessions accelerate results — but they're not required for Priority oversight.
Does a higher tier mean our situation is more serious?
No. Tiers differ by who carries the monitoring and decision-making. All Studio Priority students are re-assessed every three months.
Is Reading Studio appropriate for neurodivergent students or students with learning differences?
Yes. Reading Studio is designed to support students with learning differences and neurodiversity — especially those who struggle with focus, confidence, consistency, or traditional instruction. It is not designed for students with significant global cognitive impairments.
